Apsara Training Institute for Skill Development and Management was started as a Self Employed unit under SGSY during the year 2008.It was later developed as a Training Institute in 2009 . For the last 7 years, we have been imparting Quality training to Rural/Urban men and women. We have also given job placements to many of them. Most of the Skill Development training programs were conducted in association with Govt Departments like Local Self Govts(LSGD). SGSY District Industries Centers. District Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes,District Social Justice Department, State Kudumbashree Mission, State Bamboo Mission, Youth Welfare Board and PSUs like Kerala Artisans Development Corporation (KADCO) and Kerala State Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) etc…Vocational training programs were also conducted in Schools, Polytechniques , Arts and Science Colleges, Vocational Higher Secondary Schools etc. We have our own Craft Emporia/Marketing outlets at Pulappatta and Kanniyampuram to market the products of SHGs and JLGs promoted by us. Our Development strategy is to empower the vulnerable/less privileged sections of the society by upgrading their skills through training and enhancing their capacities.
